Akemi, Inc. would like to acquaint you with our MAXIMUM ACTIVITY COOLING VEST™ (MACV™) using NASA SPIN-OFF TECHNOLOGY. This vest will allow many that have MS or other ailments that cause undue heat stress, to enjoy both indoor and outdoor events that they could never attend due to their problem of overheating. MACV™ will help those who have a higher degree of sensitivity to heat or for times of more strenuous exercise and longer periods in the heat. The MACV™ will help make it possible to watch your children or grandchildren play soccer, baseball or just go out to a picnic. It will also help you to enjoy golf, fishing and other activities that were almost impossible to do before.

The MACV™ is a one size pullover with four pockets, two in the front and two in the back. Each pocket is lined with Thermal Barriers, Inc. HEAT SHIELD™ and a fabric from Ventex®, Inc. which is called SOFlux OX™. HEAT SHIIELD™ is a material developed by NASA to protect astronauts on the Space Shuttle and delicate space instruments, such as the Hubble Telescope, from radiant heat. HEAT SHIELD™ is made of fire resistant polypropylene sandwiched between two sheets of better than 99% pure aluminum. Both fabrics are waterproof, anti-fungal and bacteria resistant.

Four 8 oz. packets are included with each vest. You simply freeze the packets and place one in each pocket; the pockets can face either the outside or inside. The vest will conform to the body by adjusting the Velcro® straps and weighs only 3-lbs. 8 oz with the packets. The packets will stay frozen in the pockets for 3 to 4 hours, depending on the heat, humidity, and activity; they can be refrozen many times. Extra packets can be purchased and kept frozen in most ice chests for 12 TO 24 hours or more. They can then be exchanged when the initial cooling is completed, therefore giving many hours of cooling comfort. The quality of life for those who suffer from heat stress will be vastly improved by using MACV®. As with all BODY COOLER® products it is reasonably priced and made in Houston, TX. Hand wash with a mild soap, rinse, and hang to dry. Please check with your doctor before trying to over exert yourself or staying in the heat too long.
